Copper futures ended higher on Monday, supported by optimism around a massive Covid-19 aid package from United States as soon as this month. Further, higher demand for the industrial metal against thinning inventories too boosted uptrend for copper prices.
Copper futures for March delivery gained $0.0400 to settle at $3.6660 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 1.57% at $8,037 a ton.
