Congress MP moves an adjournment motion notice over farm laws

Congress MP Manish Tewari is reported to have moved an adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha, demanding revoke of three farm laws in view of farmers' agitation. The Lok Sabha saw repeated adjournments last week after thousands of farmers protesting at different borders of the national capital since late November, against the three newly enacted farm laws: Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020. 

The LS is likely to function normal with a broad understanding reached between the government and opposition to take up the debate on the motion of thanks to the President's Address on the day. While, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to reply to the motion of thanks to the President's address in the Lok Sabha on February 10.
