Copper futures ended higher on Tuesday on optimism that more fiscal stimulus in the United States would further boost copper demand. Moreover, continued fall of the US Dollar and thinning inventories also added support to copper prices’ uptrend.
Copper futures for March delivery gained $0.0540 to settle at $3.72 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 1.37% at $8,147.50 a ton.
