Century Plyboards rises on getting nod for expansion of MDF board unit at Punjab

Century Plyboards (India) is currently trading at Rs. 285.05, up by 2.20 points or 0.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 282.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 294.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 300.00 and Rs. 284.10 respectively. So far 16596 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 300.00 on 10-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 95.00 on 23-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 300.00 and Rs. 265.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6346.37 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.05%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.79% and 10.16% respectively.

Century Plyboards (India) has received approval for expansion of the Company’s Medium Density Fiber (MDF) board unit located at Hoshiarpur in Punjab by making an additional capital expenditure of approximately Rs 200 crore. The existing operating capacity of the plant is 600 cbm per day which is expected to be increased to 1000 cbm per day, post this expansion.

Century Plyboards (India) is largest seller of plywood and decorative veneers in the Indian organized plywood market. The manufacturing facility of company is located at Bishnupur near Joka, Kolkata.
