Copper futures trade higher on Monday

15 Feb 2021 Evaluate

Copper futures were trading higher on Monday after raising investors’ optimism of a quick global recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic with focus on vaccine rollouts and additional fiscal stimulus from United States. Further, drop in inventories in Comex and LME warehouses too supported copper prices’ uptrend.

Copper futures for March delivery gained $0.0340 at $3.8220 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.9% at $8,406 a ton.
