NMDC surges on resuming mining operations at Donimalai iron ore mine in Karnataka

NMDC is currently trading at Rs. 121.95, up by 2.00 points or 1.67% from its previous closing of Rs. 119.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 122.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 123.55 and Rs. 120.40 respectively. So far 386849 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 130.50 on 12-Jan-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 62.00 on 13-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 123.55 and Rs. 111.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 35152.62 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.65%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.98% and 5.37% respectively.

NMDC has resumed mining operations at its Donimalai iron ore mine in Karnataka. The operations have been resumed after receiving permission from the state government. In 2018, the company had suspended iron ore mining at the mine following a decision of the state government to impose 80 per cent premium on the iron ore sales from the mine.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
