Copper futures ended higher on Wednesday amid weak dollar following dovish remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell that relieved some worries around higher interest rates and inflation. Further, declines in copper inventories and developments around a US stimulus package have also lent support to copper prices.
Copper futures for March delivery gained $0.1160 to settle at $4.2945 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 1.11% at $9,308.50 a ton.
