West Bengal Election 2021: BJP CEC to finalise first list of 60 candidates

The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Central Election Committee (CEC) will meet in Delhi today to finalise the first list of party candidates for the West Bengal assembly polls. They likely to finalise first list of candidates for 60 seats going to the polls in the first two phases of the elections.

Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief J.P. Nadda, and other senior leaders will attend the CEC meeting. BJP National General Secretary and West Bengal in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya, National Vice President Mukul Roy, state unit chief Dilip Ghosh and other members of core committee of West Bengal unit have also reached Delhi.

Counting of votes for West Bengal assembly polls will take place on May 2
