10 Mar 2021 Evaluate

Copper futures ended lower on Tuesday even as the American currency fell back from 3-1/2 month highs amid US Treasury yields stabilized. Copper prices weakened further by eased worries about the tight copper supply. Moreover, modest economic growth targets from the world’s top metal consumer China too added pressure on commodity prices.

Copper futures for May delivery lost $0.0845 to settle at $4.0085 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 2.43% at $8,779.50 a ton.
