Physical Rubber prices extend gains on Thursday

Physical Rubber prices extended gains on Thursday amid fresh enquiries from the non-tyre sector. Moreover, rubber prices also improved in line with firm crude oil prices in February 2021 which posted a 13.7% growth while comparing to January 2021.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 166/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 164.50/kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained to Rs 162/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 160/kg. In the futures market, April delivery gained to Rs 166 compared to its previous closing of Rs 165.94 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
