Bharat Dynamics surges on signing contract with MoD

Bharat Dynamics is currently trading at Rs. 344.90, up by 2.90 points or 0.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 342.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 340.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 348.25 and Rs. 330.35 respectively. So far 45387 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 481.25 on 14-Aug-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 147.00 on 24-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 367.35 and Rs. 330.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6327.79 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.93%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.88% and 7.20% respectively.

The Acquisition Wing of Ministry of Defence (MoD) has signed a contract with Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU) Bharat Dynamics (BDL) for supply of 4,960 MILAN-2T Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs) to Indian Army at a cost of Rs 1,188 crore, in New Delhi on March 19, 2021. This will further boost the ‘Make in India’ initiative of the Government. It is a ‘Repeat Order’ of contract, which was signed with BDL on March 08, 2016.

Bharat Dynamics is engaged in manufacturing of Surface to Air missiles (SAMs), Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs), underwater weapons, launchers, countermeasures and test equipment.
