Gold futures finished near 3 week lower rate on Monday, receded with the strength in dollar and rising treasury bond yields. Moreover, optimism over quicker economic recovery dulled yellow metal’s safe haven investment appeal.
Gold futures for April slipped by 1.2% or $20.10 to settle at $1,712.20 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold fell 1.1% to $1,713.36 per ounce.
