01 Apr 2021 Evaluate

Copper futures ended higher on Wednesday due to improved factory activity growth from the world’s top consumer China. China's factory activity expanded at a faster-than-expected pace in Month of March. And hopes over the president joe Biden’s new US infrastructure bill also supported the red metal prices. But stronger US dollar following elevated US Treasury yields, capped some gains in the copper prices.

Copper futures for May delivery gained $0.0170 to settle at $3.9955 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.14% at $8,785.50 a ton.
