Copper futures ended lower on Monday with cautious market sentiments as China wants to put a cap on surging commodity prices to cut off potential inflation. Moreover, rising copper inventories also added downward pressure on copper prices.
Copper futures for May delivery lost $0.0215 to settle at $4.0185 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 0.73% at $8,861 a ton.
