Physical Rubber prices witnessed weakness on Monday due to concerns over the surging corona-virus cases in the Country. Along with, imposition of restrictions to control the pandemic too kept the sentiments under pressure. However, tight supplies in the spot market capped some fall.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety fell to Rs 168.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 169/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety declined to Rs 165.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 166/ kg. In the futures market, May delivery gained to Rs 170.35 compared to its previous closing of Rs 170.32 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
