Physical Rubber prices witness improvement on Wednesday

Physical Rubber prices witnessed improvement on Wednesday, despite concerns over resurgence of Covid-19 cases in the Country. Further, supply shortages added support to rubber prices to some extent. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety gained to Rs 164/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 163.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety rose to Rs 161/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 160.50/ kg.

In the futures market, May delivery gained to Rs 166 compared to its previous closing of Rs 165.28 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
