Bharti Airtel gains as its arm to offer increased interest rate of 6% on deposits of over Rs 1 lakh

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 560.55, up by 1.85 points or 0.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 558.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 565.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 567.80 and Rs. 557.50 respectively. So far 162366 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 623.00 on 04-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 394.05 on 19-Oct-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 567.80 and Rs. 529.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 307553.53 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.92% and 5.16% respectively.

Bharti Airtel’s subsidiary -- Airtel Payments Bank is planning to offer an increased interest rate of 6 per cent per annum on savings account deposit of over Rs 1 lakh. The move follows Airtel Payments Bank becoming the first payments bank to implement an enhanced day-end savings limit of Rs 2 lakh. Airtel Payments Bank has over 5.5 crore engaged users across its operations. The interest rate is at 2.5 per cent per annum for a deposit up to Rs 1 lakh.
