Physical Rubber prices witness improvement on supply shortages globally

Physical Rubber prices witnessed improvement on Thursday following supply shortages globally, although concerns regarding resurgence of Covid-19 cases capped some gains. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety gained to Rs 169/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 168/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety rose to Rs 166/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 165/ kg.

In the futures market, May delivery gained to Rs 170.25 compared to its previous closing of Rs 169.78 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
