DFM Foods gains on agreeing to make investment in Belenus Solar

DFM Foods is currently trading at Rs. 340.00, up by 1.75 points or 0.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 338.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 335.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 341.55 and Rs. 335.00 respectively. So far 2335 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 443.70 on 31-Dec-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 170.00 on 04-Aug-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 372.00 and Rs. 335.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1704.18 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.71%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.04% and 25.25% respectively.

DFM Foods has agreed to make an investment in Belenus Solar (BSPL) by acquiring and/or subscribing equity shares amounting to Rs 96 lakh (5.57% of total paid-up capital of BSPL). BSPL own, operate and maintain a solar power plant for captive consumption at Village: Biswan, Sitapur in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The investment is made by the Company to get renewable energy which will benefit to the Company from cost saving perspective.

DFM Foods is engaged in the business of manufacturing, selling and marketing of packaged snack foods and has been a leader in the space for over 25 years.
