Coal India’s arm records 112% production in April

Coal India’s arm -- Central Coalfields (CCL) has recorded 112 per cent increase in production at 4.84 million tonne (mt) in April. The Jharkhand-based subsidiary had recorded 2.28 mt coal output in April 2020. As far as coal offtake was concerned, it recorded a 122 per cent increase in April 2021 to 6.56 mt against 2.96 mt in the corresponding month of the previous fiscal.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
