Copper futures ended down on Friday, despite the US dollar dropped against the rival currencies as fears of accelerating inflation receded. Further, worries over tightening the credit policies, added the downward pressure on copper prices.

Copper futures for July delivery fell $0.0360 to settle at $4.6545 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 0.98% at $10,240.50 a ton.
