18 May 2021 Evaluate

Asian markets settled higher on Tuesday with bargain hunting after recent sell-off spurred by inflation worries and surging corona-virus cases in Asian regions. Singapore and Taiwan shares jumped as investors shrugged off worries about the potential impact of renewed coronavirus restrictions. Singapore and Hong Kong have officially deferred plans to launch a quarantine-free travel bubble, the Transport Ministry in Singapore citing the evolving Covid-19 situation in the city-state. Moreover, Kospi shares climbed ahead of a national holiday for Buddha's Birthday.
