Coal India inches up on planning to invest Rs 35 crore to install 25 oxygen generation plants

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 146.65, up by 0.15 points or 0.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 146.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 146.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 146.90 and Rs. 145.80 respectively. So far 4135 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 162.95 on 26-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 109.50 on 15-Oct-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 155.95 and Rs. 144.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 90253.16 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.35% and 5.45% respectively.

Coal India (CIL) is planning to invest Rs 35 crore to install 25 oxygen generation plants, across 22 hospitals, in a bid to augment the supply of the life-saving gas amid a surge in COVID-19 infections. These O2 generation plants will be set up in Coal India's own hospitals and in district hospitals where four of its subsidiaries operate to support 3,328 beds. Of the 25 plants, five are being installed at CIL’s own hospitals at an investment of Rs 4.25 crore covering 332 beds. 

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
