Pinarayi Vijayan sworn in as CM of Kerala

In Kerala, CPI(M) veteran Pinarayi Vijayan, who led the Left Democratic Front (LDF) was sworn in as the Chief Minister (CM) for the second successive term. The Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan administered the oath. The ceremony was held at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, which followed all the COVID-19 protocols. Opposition Congress-UDF leaders kept away from the function in view of the COVID-19 spread.
