Gold futures finish higher for sixth consecutive session on Thursday

21 May 2021 Evaluate
Extending winning streak to sixth straight session, gold futures finished slightly higher on Thursday. The weaker dollar, dip in US Treasury yields, lack of any major cues from Federal Reserves on curtailing economic support measures, inflation worries and mounting concerns over global economic health buoyed the yellow metal investments. While, profit booking narrowed the gains.

Gold futures for June added 40 cents to settle at $1,881.90 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold rose 0.6% to $1,880.22 per ounce.
