Copper futures ended lower on Thursday as dollar rebounded on robust US manufacturing data. Further, signs of US inflationary pressures and China’s move to curb unreasonable increases in commodity prices also weighed down industrial metals.
Copper futures for July delivery fell $0.0870 to settle at $4.4810 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 1.66 percent at $9,881.50 a ton.
