Infosys surges as its co-founder purchases shares worth Rs 100 crore of company

Infosys is currently trading at Rs. 1363.75, up by 15.60 points or 1.16% from its previous closing of Rs. 1348.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1353.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1367.50 and Rs. 1353.00 respectively. So far 281222 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1480.00 on 12-Apr-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 675.05 on 12-Jun-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1367.50 and Rs. 1333.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 580686.03 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 12.95%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 55.77% and 14.09% respectively.

Infosys’ co-founder S D Shibulal has purchased shares worth Rs 100 crore of the IT major through an open market transaction. Shibulal bought over 7.45 lakh shares at an average price of Rs 1,342.05 per share, valuing the transaction at Rs 100 crore, BSE block deal data showed.
