Copper futures ended higher on Thursday, driven by potential labour strikes at the world's biggest copper mine in Chile. Further, strong US data and easing fears that China would tighten monetary policy too supporting copper prices’ uptrend.
Copper futures for July delivery gained $0.1335 to settle at $4.6630 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 2.43 percent at $10,221 a ton.
