Physical Rubber prices witnessed weakness on Monday on account sharp declines in domestic futures as the lockdown restrictions were extended to June 9 in the country. Though, supply shortage issues have supported rubber prices to some extent. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to Rs 171/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 172/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety fell to Rs 167.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 169.50/ kg.
In the futures market, June delivery fell to Rs 174.00 compared to its previous closing of Rs 174.36 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
