Gold futures finished near two week lower rate on Thursday, as the better than expected US ADP non-farm employment and unemployment claims data buoyed dollar and US Treasury Bond yields dulling the investment appeal of the bullion. Moreover, reignited anticipations that US Federal Reserve will raise interest rates also weighed down the yellow metal.
Gold futures for August dipped by 1.90% or $36.60 to settle at $1873.30 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold down 1.90% at $1,871.91 per ounce.
