Lupin has received approval for its Emtricitabine and Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate Tablets, 200 mg/300 mg, from the United States Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA), to market a generic equivalent of Truvada Tablets, 200 mg/300 mg, of Gilead Sciences, Inc. The product will be manufactured at Lupin’s facility in Nagpur, India.Emtricitabine and Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate Tablets, 200 mg/300 mg, are indicated in combination with other antiretroviral agents for the treatment of HIV-1 infection. It is also used for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to reduce the risk of sexually acquired HIV-1 infection.

Coal India’s e-auction sales registered a growth of 52.5 per cent at 21.5 million tonne (MT) in the first two months of the ongoing fiscal year. The company’s total allocated quantity under the five auction windows was at 14.1 MT in April-May 2019-20. Coal India e-auction sales are beginning to look up as the company posted 52.5 per cent growth, in auction bookings, during the first two months of the ongoing fiscal.

Central Bank of India has entered into co-lending partnerships with NBFC players Indiabulls Housing Finance and IIFL Home Finance. Under this arrangement, non-banking finance companies (NBFCs) will originate and process retail home loans while Central Bank of India will take into its book 80 percent of the housing loan under direct assignment transactions.

Yes Bank plans to raise funds in Indian/foreign currency by issue of debt securities including but not limited to non-convertible debentures, bonds, medium-term note. A meeting of the board of directors of the bank will be held on June 10, 2021, to consider, approve and seek shareholders' approval for the same.

UCO Bank is hopeful of coming out of the Prompt Corrective Action (PCA) framework very soon. The bank had also met the other major criteria including net NPA norm.

The Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) traded 6540 MU (Million Unit) of electricity volume in May '21 achieving 9% YoY growth amidst continuation of the COVID-19 lockdowns as well the cyclonic disturbances which affected the overall power demand in the country. The national peak demand at 169 GW recorded a 2% YoY growth while the energy consumption at 111 BU saw 8% YoY growth on the weak base.
