Gold futures finish lower for the first time in three sessions on Tuesday, as the firmer dollar and caution ahead to US inflation data weighed down the yellow metal. Traders eyed on the key US inflation report which might influence US Federal Reserve to raise the interest rates. Gold for the most active contract had tapped above the $1900 key resistance in the session.

Gold futures for August dipped by 0.2% or $4.40 at $1,894.40 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold shrunk by 0.4% to $1,892.33 per ounce.
