Reddy’s custody extended till October 3; CBI raided two aides residence

The judicial custody of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhana Reddy and his brother-in-law Srinivasa Reddy has been extended till October 3 in illegal mining scam by the special court today. The investigating agency CBI has interrogated them for past 6-days and has also raided their respective residences.

CBI, continuing their raids, today conducted searches at the residences of two aides of arrested former Karnataka minister in Bellary district.

Gali Janardhana Reddy and his brother-in-law Srinivasa Reddy were arrested by CBI on September 5, 2011 in connection with illegal mining. They are also accused for mining deep into the Bellary-Andhra Pradesh Reserve forest area; damaging state-border demarcation area blasting the Sugulamma Devi temple on the border.
