Physical Rubber prices witnessed some improvement on Monday due to supply shortages in the market. Further, continued buying by a leading tyre maker at the prevailing level also supported rubber prices. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 170/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 169.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety remained unchanged at Rs 167.50/ kg.
In the futures market, July delivery fell Rs 172.50 compared to its previous closing of Rs 173.29 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
