16 Jun 2021 Evaluate

Copper futures ended lower on Tuesday on account of rising US dollar against its rivals following data showing inflation speeding up, while investors are awaiting the outcome of the US Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting. Copper futures weakened further on concerns that Chinese authorities could take to curb a recent price rally in commodities.

Copper futures for July delivery fell $0.1940 to settle at $4.3330 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 4.03 percent at $9,569.50 a ton.
