Gold futures finished lower for third consecutive session on Tuesday, as the US currency got firmer amid bets that US Federal Reserve this week might taper monetary stimulus gradually with the peaking inflation readings. Besides, positive US Treasury Bond Yield notes also pressured bullion investments.
Gold futures for August dipped by 0.5% at $1,856.40 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold was down by 0.5% to $1,855.99 per ounce.
