According to the data released by NSE, the Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers of Rs 43.73 crore in futures and options segments on Monday, September 19, 2011.
FII’s were sellers of index futures to the tune of Rs 34.37 crore and they bought index options worth Rs 214.81 crore. In the stock segment, FII’s were net sellers of stock futures worth Rs 254.07 crore and they bought stock options to the tune of Rs 29.90 crore.
Cumulative FII positions as percentage of total gross market position in the derivative segment as on September 19, 2011 is 38.95%.
