Physical Rubber prices witnessed improvement on Thursday supported by firm demand at domestic spot market. However, concerns about the highly contagious delta variant of Covid-19 adding some pressure and capped further gains on rubber prices. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 167/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 166.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained to Rs 164/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 163.50/ kg.
In the futures market, July delivery fell to Rs 172.50 compared to its previous closing of Rs 173.56 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
