Congress General Secretary and in-charge of the party's Uttar Pradesh unit Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who was earlier scheduled to visit Lucknow on July 14, will now visit Lucknow on July 16, to energise the party cadre and to provide momentum to the party's preparations ahead of 2022 state assembly polls.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi had UP Congress Advisory Council and Strategic Group meeting yesterday and discussed the party's strategy regarding the upcoming Assembly elections. During the meeting, the party resolved to hit the streets against the BJP government over issues such as unemployment, price rise and law and order.
During her Lucknow visit, Priyanka Gandhi will hold meetings with all Pradesh Congress Committee members and district and city presidents from various parts of the States. She will also hold meetings with groups of unemployed youths who are battling various recruitment issues. Priyanka Gandhi’s visit is expected to be for three-four days.
