Jindal Stainless surges on turning black in Q1

Jindal Stainless is currently trading at Rs. 154.85, up by 2.10 points or 1.37% from its previous closing of Rs. 152.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 156.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 160.95 and Rs. 153.50 respectively. So far 238549 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 165.70 on 26-Jul-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 35.00 on 31-Jul-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 165.70 and Rs. 123.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7574.06 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.12%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.53% and 11.35% respectively.

Jindal Stainless has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2021.

The company has reported net profit at Rs 271.42 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net loss of Rs 86.50 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company reported 3- fold jump at Rs 3850.89 crore for Q1FY22 as compared Rs 1271.25 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported net profit attributed to the owners at Rs 302.77 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net loss of Rs 121.78 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company reported 3- fold jump at Rs 4042.32 crore for Q1FY22 as compared Rs 1385.87 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
