ABB India gains on inking definitive agreement to divest mechanical power transmission division

ABB India is currently trading at Rs. 1682.00, up by 11.45 points or 0.69% from its previous closing of Rs. 1670.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1672.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1706.30 and Rs. 1653.05 respectively. So far 8903 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1856.10 on 28-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 848.50 on 14-Oct-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1780.00 and Rs. 1626.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 35548.69 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.79% and 14.21% respectively.

ABB India has signed a definitive agreement to divest its mechanical power transmission division (Dodge) to RBC Bearings Incorporated (Nasdaq: ROLL), for $2.9 billion in cash. The transaction will create a leading manufacturer of highly engineered, performance-critical bearings and motion control components. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the year 2021, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory review.
