Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL) has slashed its home loan lending rates by 0.25% across categories for new customers. It has reduced its lending rates for the second time in a month. As per the revision variable rate of interest for loans of up to Rs 15 lakh has been cut to 10.75% from 11%, while for those above Rs 30 lakh but up to Rs 75 lakh it will come at 11.25% and those above Rs 75 lakh at 11.75%. The NBFC had earlier cut rates by 0.25% on October 10.
The NBFC has reported a rise of 19.42% in its net profit at Rs 85.85 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 71.89 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 38.86% at Rs 817.87 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 588.98 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
