Physical rubber prices turned lower on Thursday tailing weakness in the domestic and international futures on buyers’ resistance that restricted any movement in the commodity prices. Though, there was no selling pressure but demand too remained scattered.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed at Rs 174 compared to its previous closing of Rs 175; while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 170 compared to its previous closing of Rs 171.
In futures market, the contract of RSS-4 for November series declined to Rs 173.95 from its previous closing of Rs 175.60, while the contract for December series closed at Rs 175.14 compared to its previous closing of Rs 177.31 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
