Four separate teams of Karnataka Lokayukta police raided at the four offices of former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s son-in-law Sohan Kumar in connection with the land de-notification issue. The searches were conducted at Prerana Chambers, two offices of Davalagiri properties and Sahyadri healthcare in the city.

Davalagiri properties are owned by Sohan Kumar and sons of Yeddyurappa -- B Y Raghavendra, MP and B Y Vijendra. Lokayukta police conducted searches following the complaints against trio. ‘I had knowledge about the raids yesterday itself,’ Yeddyurappa said.

Yeddyurappa who is campaigning for the BJP candidate in the by-poll, is accused for involvement in land scam. The former Chief Minister has granted favours to his family members and friends from Bellary to Bangalore. The lands were de-notified in return for investments in his family firms or lands were allotted on a preferential basis.

Dhavalagiri Properties and Developers, Bhagath Homes, Fluid Power Technologies, Prerana Educational Trust, Sahyadri Healthcare and Diagnostics, Maithri Educational Institute, Vivekananda Educational Institute, Candor Business Solutions and Indveer Kuteer - all Yeddyurappa's family firms - directly or indirectly benefited from the land scams.
