Bharat Petroleum Corporation reports net profit of Rs 5034.79 crore in Q2

Bharat Petroleum Corporation has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2012.

The company has reported a net profit of Rs 5034.79 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to a net loss of Rs 3229.27 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 34.15% at Rs 57344.65 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 42747.81 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.

BPCL is into exploration, production and retailing of petroleum and petrol related products. The retail business unit of BPCL is into marketing of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
