Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat appointed BJP in-charge for Punjab polls

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today appointed Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as the party affairs in-charge for the Punjab Assembly polls. The party has also appointed Union ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Meenakshi Lekhi along with MP Vinod Chavda as its co-incharges for the assembly polls. In the BJP rank and file, these appointments are being seen as a reflection of the seriousness of the party in contesting the assembly elections.

Punjab will go to the polls along with Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur in early 2022.
