Copper futures ended higher on Wednesday tracking weakness in the US dollar after lower-than-expected US inflation which softened expectations for stimulus to be tapered soon. However, easing factory and retail data from world's biggest metals consumer China, capped further gains.
Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.0855 to settle at $4.4065 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 1.96 percent at $9,627 a ton.
