Physical Rubber prices witness improvement on Thursday

Physical Rubber prices witnessed improvement on Thursday, supported by improved demand from certain tyre makers. But, expectations of sharp improvement in production and arrivals capped further gains in rubber prices. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 174.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 174/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained to Rs 172/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 171.50/ kg.

In the futures market, October delivery lost to Rs 176.60 compared to its previous closing of Rs 177.20 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
