Asian Markets trade lower in early deals on Monday

Asian equity benchmarks traded lower in early deals on Monday, weighed down by the risk aversion in the market in tandem with the continued spread in covid cases and on dip in iron ore and crude oil prices. Meanwhile, investors also kept away from taking any major bets as lot of the stock markets in the region are closed for a public holiday. Stock markets of Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and China are closed today. Among the Asian stocks, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Malaysia are in negative territory. 

Straight times dipped by 13.82 points or 0.45% to 3,057.41, Hang Seng shrunk by 965.58 points or 3.87% to 23,955.18, Jakarta Composite trimmed by 71.84 points or  1.17% to 6,061.41, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI diminished by 14.39 points or 0.93% to 1,534.12.
