Copper futures settled higher on Wednesday on easing fears after China’s debt-burdened property developer Evergrande agreed to settle interest payments on a domestic bond. Moreover, China's central bank PCOB boosted short-term cash into the financial system, too supported copper prices’ uptrend.
Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.1260 to settle at $4.2520 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 3.46 percent at $9,286 a ton.
